Stars of Dance Policies
All students are required to wear proper dance attire and shoes. No jeans, skirts, gum or jewelry allowed. All students must have the same dance shoes as the rest of their class, which will be ordered through Stars of Dance.
Ballet/Modern/Lyrical = Tights & leotard (any color), dance shorts. Hair in bun.
NO SKIRTS OF ANY KIND!!!
Creative Movement = Tights & Leotard (any color) Hair in bun, pony/pigtails
skirts/tutu's are ok!
Tap/Jazz/Hip Hop Dance Class = Tights, Leotard, Jazz/Hip-Hop pants/shorts, Sports tops are all acceptable. Hair in ponytail or bun!
If an instructor needs to cancel a class, a makeup class will always be scheduled. Please view our web page to find out if classes are canceled due to inclement weather. Classes will not be rescheduled when closed for unsafe weather conditions.
Tuition Rates and Fees for 2011-2012
(Classes begin September 19, 2011)
WE WILL ONLY BE CHARGING 1/2 OF THE SEPTEMBER RATE AS CLASSES ARE BEGINNING MID MONTH.
1/2 hour creative movement: $40/Sept then 3 payments of $120 due Oct 15th, Dec 15th & March 15th
45 minute class: $45/Sept then 3 payments of $135 due Oct 15th, Dec 15th & March 15th
1 hour class: $50/Sept then 3 payments of $150 due Oct 15th, Dec 15th & March 15th1/2 hour
solo/duet/trio lesson: $55/Sept then 3 payments of $165 due Oct 15h, Dec 15th & March 15th
Mini Company $100/month
Junior Company: $150/month
Senior Company $200/month
There is a one time $20 per student registration/insurance fee to be paid upon student registration.
Additional Fees: $30 return check fee, $25 late fee.
Dancers are NOT permitted on the dance floor until tuition is paid! Tuition is non-refundable.
Class size: minimum of 5 students. Teacher to student ratio will be appropriate for the class.
Annual recital to be held in June 9th, 2pm at the Palace Theatre in Albany, New York.
At Stars of Dance we do not require our students to purchase expensive costumes. Each student will pay a costuming fee of $40 per single style class or $50 per combination class. We will chose an appropriate costume that is tasteful and will allow for continued use (tights and shoes are not included in the costume fee). The costume fee will be due on or before December 15th.
Company members will have a costuming fee of $35 for each routine they are performing in.
If your child is not participating in the recital, please let us know as soon as possible so we can take this into consideration when choreographing that classes routine.
Each student will also be required to purchase a recital T-shirt which is worn when performing the recital finale. This finale uniform is estimated to cost approximately $25 per student (tights and shoes are not included) and will be due on or before April 15th.

Please help your dancers to remember and follow our policies.
*** Dancing or walking feet only. No Running – dancers will get hurt!
*** Dance shoes or bare feet only on the dance floors.
No street shoes allowed.
*** Please do not wear jewelry or long earrings.
*** No gum or candy.
*** No cell phones or texting during class. Please keep phones off and in your dance bag.
*** Please keep our hands and feet to ourselves:
No touching the mirrors, the music system or our friends.
*** Always have good listening ears!
*** MOST IMPORTANT: SMILE AND HAVE FUN!
